Call for contributions for Systasis 41

Тhe preparation of the issue 41 of the electronic journal Systasis (http://www.systasis.org) to be published in November, 2023 is underway. The editorial board decided to continue with the practice of preparing thematic sections within the regular issues. This year's thematic section is titled: CLASSICAL CULTURE TODAY: FROM TRADITION TO RECEPTION, and its guest editor will be Dr Darin Angelovski from the Institute of Macedonian Literature, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. The thematic section will focus on the presentation of new research studies that aim to give insight into the content, character, range and intensity of the presence of classical culture in the contemporary culture today. 

The idea to set the proposed title as a topic for study came from the need to encourage the exchange of scholarly and scientific findings and observations about the processes of tradition and reception understood as basic routes by which the classical culture is being transferred and incorporated into contemporary cultural systems. We are looking forward to the concretization of this general topic into a collection of contributions from domestic and foreign researchers that will offer their opinions on certain problems and interpretations of particular ideas in the specific research areas of classical
philology and translation of classical works from Ancient Greek and Latin, the use of classical themes and motives in contemporary literature, the influence of classics on philosophy, the relations between classics and folklore, ethnology, anthropology, studies in the area of archaeology and history of the ancient world, reception of antiquity in art, music, design, theatre, film education, law and politics, economy and marketing, technology and new media etc.

The contributions for the thematic section should be written in Macedonian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian. The instructions for authors are the same as for all other articles published in the regular issues of Systasis and can be downloaded from the web page of our journal (https://systasis.org/index.php/en/call-for-contributions). 

The deadline for submission of the title of the contribution with an abstract is 15th of July 2023, and the deadline for submission of the full text of the contribution is 15th of September 2023 to the e-address of the journal: This email address is being protected from spambots.
